Eligibility
NYIC is open to all instrumentalists, ensembles and vocalists of age 5-18 by January 31, 2019.
Young Star Division Age 5-8
Future Star Division Age 9-12
Young Professional Division Age 13-18
Pre-college Division Age 10-18 – For those who is currently enrolled in pre-colleges and professional institutions ( All instruments in one category).
Repertoire
Free choice of repertoire from the style of Baroque, Classical, Romantic or Contemporary. Music must be preformed from memory. Performance time should not exceed 6 minutes.
Awards
First and Second Prize winners will perform in the Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall on February 22. 2019 @8pm.
First prize winners of each age group will receive cash award of $50.
The performance fee is $200 which includes 4 complimentary tickets and a Certificate of Outstanding Achievement. Additional tickets are available at $50 each.

DVD Audition- Due 2/9/2019
Participants are required to dress up as you will receive an participation certificate right after audition. Live audition is strongly encouraged. For those who live outside US or not able to attend the auditions, you may submit a DVD recording or upload your video on YouTube and send the link by e-mail or fill in the link on online application form. Editing is strictly prohibited. Please make sure to write your name legibly on the DVD. The DVD will not be returned.
Results will be announced by 2/14/2019.
Accompaniment
A professional accompanist will be provided for an additional fee of $80. Instrumentalists and singers are allowed to bring their own accompanists. To pay for piano accompaniment $80, click the button:
Judges
An international panel of qualified judges will evaluate auditions.
Application Deadline
The application form and fees must be received by January 31, 2019. A late fee of $50 will be applied after the deadline.
***Use of recording equipment (photo and video cameras) during the recital is strictly prohibited due to the policy of Carnegie Hall. Professional licensed photographer will be making archival pictures of performers at $50 each (optional).
